The Los Angeles Angels have placed David Freese on the 15-day disabled list. Freese has a fractured right middle finger but is expecting to come off the DL once the 15 day period is up.

After a slow start, Freese had pulled his batting line up to .202/.286/.552 with two home runs and 12 runs scored.

The Angels had Luis Jimenez playing at third base on Saturday. They also recalled C.J. Cron from Triple-A Salt Lake. Cron was inserted as the Angels DH on Saturday night. The 24-year-old was hitting a blistering .319/.369/.602 with 12 doubles, six home runs, and 26 RBI in 28 games this season at the Triple-A level.
