The Toronto Blue Jays have promoted left hander Matt Boyd to Double-A New Hampshire.
Boyd, 23, broke the news on his twitter account. Boyd had been mowing down batters in the Florida State League posting a 0.29 ERA, .742 WHIP, and 10.7 K/9.

While Boyd’s High-A numbers looked impressive many have labeled him as average to above-average. He will try to prove himself worthy of a major league call-up with a strong showing at New Hampshire.
Boyd was a sixth round pick of the Blue Jays in the 2013 MLB Draft.
