Eight innings of pitching by David Hale coupled with some home runs gave the Atlanta Braves a 4-1 win over the Cincinnati Reds on Saturday.

Hale allowed just one run in his eight innings of work. The Reds managed just two hits off of Hale while he struck out four lowing his ERA to 2.31 ERA. The Braves will have a decision once Mike Minor is activated from the disabled list and Hale could be the odd man out.

Home runs by Freddie Freeman, Justin Upton and Evan Gattis provided all four of the Braves runs.

Craig Kimbrel struck out two and walked one to earn his eighth save of the season.
