Mike Minor to make one more rehab start before joining Braves

Left handed pitcher Mike Minor will make one more rehab start at Double-A Mississippi before he rejoins the Atlanta Braves rotation.

There had been hope that Minor would rejoin the Braves rotation this spring but the Braves never publicly acknowledged the rumblings that he could pitch this weekend. Instead he will make one more minor league start.

Minor got a late start on spring work after having a procedure on his urinary tract done in December. Once he began throwing this spring he dealt with soreness in his left shoulder.

A season ago Minor made 32 starts posing a 3.21 ERA (3.37 FIP) and a 1.09 WHIP in 204 2/3 innings of work.

Despite a patchwork rotation, without Minor , Brandon Beachy and Kris Medlen, the Braves have had strong results thus far with only David Hale (2.93) posting an ERA above 2.00 entering Tuesday night.
