The Tampa Bay Rays will be without pitcher Alex Cobb for the next four to six weeks.
Cobb landed on the disabled list with a strained left oblique. He will be replaced in the Rays rotation by Erik Bedard.
Cobb’s injury coupled with the recent injury to Matt Moore forces the Rays to have both Cesar Ramos and Bedard in their rotation. Both men initially started the season in the minors after failing to win the fifth starters spot.
