The New York Mets allowed Ike Davis to pinch-hit in the bottom of the ninth inning in Saturday’s game against the Cincinnati Reds.
Called to bat, Davis crushed a grand slam off of Reds reliever J.J. Hoover. The slam was the first in the majors since Brian Bogusevic hit one for the Astros in 2011.
