There was a scary moment in Monday’s Opening Day game for fans of the Washington Nationals.
Outfielder Bryce Harper took a shot to the head as he slid into second base trying to break up a double play. Harper’s head made contact with the legs of Eric Young Jr. who was playing second base for the New York Mets.
Harper remained in the game for the Nationals following a test for a concussion.
Following he game Harper told reporters that he had passed a second concussion test. He was 1-for-4 with two strike outs in Monday’s extra innings win.
Harper said he had a second concussion test after the game and feels fine. #Nats #NationalsTalk

Last season Harper produced a .274/.368/.486 line with 20 home runs and 71 runs scored. Needless to say he is a big part of the Nationals offense.
