The Los Angeles Dodgers will not have Clayton Kershaw on the mound when they play in Sunday’s regular season game against the San Diego Padres.
Kershaw, 26, has been scratched from his start due to an inflamed back muscle. The Dodgers are going to be careful with their two-time Cy Young Award winner and had planned to limit his number of innings early in the season.
"It's nothing to be worried about, but it's really frustrating. If I had to push tomorrow, I could probably do it." -Clayton Kershaw

It is currently unknown who will start for the Dodgers. Zack Greinke is listed for Tuesday’s game. Greinke did not pitch during the Dodgers opening series in Australia against the Arizona Diamondbacks.
In Kershaw’s first outing he threw 6 2/3 innings picking up a win after allowing one run on five hits and a walk. Kershaw racked up seven strikeouts in the outing.
