Ian Stewart is hoping to crack the roster of the Los Angles Angles this spring. And things are not getting off to the best of starts.
Stewart missed Monday’s game because he was “messing around with daughter and got hit in the nose” according to Angels manager Mike Scioscia.
Stewart will be checked out by the team doctor and is not expected to miss additional time.

Last year, Stewart hit just .171 in 67 games at the Triple-A level. He was not much better in 55 games for the Chicago Cubs in 2012.
