Back spasms forced pitcher Miguel Gonzalez into a day of rest on Sunday but the pitcher is scheduled to play catch on Monday.
Gonzalez, 29, suffered the spasms after fielding drills on Saturday. Should all go well for Gonzalez he will then throw a bullpen session in two days.
Gonzalez will play catch today. Hopes to get up on the mound for a bullpen in next two days. Has thrown 5 pens this spring already.
