Report: Phillies still having talks with A.J. Burnett

The Philadelphia Phillies are still trying to sign free agent pitcher A.J. Burnett according to MLB’s Todd Zolecki.

Burnett recently announced that he would return for the 2014 season and was accepting offers from all would be suitors and Zolecki says that the Phillies have shown more interest in Burnett over the weekend.

Other teams who have shown interest in Burnett are the Pittsburgh Pirates, Baltimore Orioles and Washington Nationals. The 37-year-old Burnett finished last season with a 10-11 record with a 3.30 ERA and a 1.21 WHIP in 191 innings of work.
