The Texas Rangers are in talks with free agent pitcher Tommy Hanson according to Jon Morosi of FOX Sports.
Hanson, 27, was non-tendered by the Los Angeles Angels after a rough 2013 season. Hanson had a 5.42 ERA and a 1.55 WHIP in 73 innings of work last season.

He dealt with a variety of issues from injury to person last season and would come cheap for the Rangers who are trying to find someone to take the rotation spot of the injured Derek Holland.
