The Los Angeles Angels have signed first baseman Carlos Pena and infielder Brennan Boesch to minor league deals.
Pena 35, will also receive an invitation to spring training.
Last season Pena produced a brutal.207/.321/.346 line with eight homers over 89 games for the Houston Astros and Kansas City Royals. He is merely depth at this point and stands little chance of making the Opening Day roster.

Boesch produced a .275/.302/.529 line in 23 games for the New York Yankees in 2013. Still his chances of making the Angles are slim entering Spring Training.
