It’s Colorado or bust for relief pitcher Rafael Betancourt.

“If I pitch again, it will be with the Rockies. I can’t see myself anywhere else at this point in my career.” the pitcher told the Denver Post.

Now 38, Betancourt is trying to return from surgery after tearing his right elbow ligament on Aug. 22

Betancourt will visit Dr. James Andrews next week and should begin throwing shortly thereafter. The Rockiers declined Betancourt’s $4.25 million option for 2014 and later added La Troy Hawkins and Boone Logan.

Betancourt has posted a 3.08 ERA with 57 saves in 264 appearances with the Rockies.
