The Baltimore Orioles have claimed infielder Cord Phelps off waivers from the Cleveland Indians.
Phelps, 26, has appeared in 53 games over the last three seasons compiling a 1.59/.221/.248 line with two homes runs and 11 RBI. In Baltimore he will complete for a spot on the Opening Day roster.

The Orioles currently have 38 players on their 40 man roster. There is no guarantee that Phelps remains on the teams 40 man roster with so much time between now and Spring Training.
