Report: Yankees offered Robinson Cano $165 million

The New York Yankees reportedly offered second baseman Robinson Cano $165 million in an attempt to sign him to a seven-year extension eports Ken Rosenthal of Fox Sports and Jon Heyman of CBS Sports.

Cano recently was said to be seeking a 10 year deal worth $300 million.

Over 160 games in 2013, Cano hit .314/.383/.516 with 27 home runs. Cano is inline to get the largest contract of any free agent on the market.
