The Oakland Athletics are hoping that pitcher Sonny Gray will be 100 percent by the time spring training rolls around. Gray injured his left thumb in the A’s American League Divisional Series Gmae 5 loss.
Gray’s injury is on his non-throwing hand which should pave the way for a easier recover.
Sonny Gray will also undergo surgery after sustaining UCL tear of his left thumb.

The 23-year-old had a 2.67 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 67 strikeouts over his first 64 major league innings this season.
Additionally, outfielder Josh Reddick is expected to require arthroscopic surgery on his sprained right wrist. He should be ready for spring training. Pitcher Jarrod Parker simply has a forearm strain that will require rest.
