Braves will keep pitcher Julio Teheran out until Sept. 10

The next time Julio Teheran makes a start for the Atlanta Braves will be on Sept. 10 against the Miami Marlins.

Teheran, 22, has thrown 161 2/3 innings this season and with the team in control of the NL East want to give the youngster a break.

Making Teheran’s scheduled start on Wednesday against the New York Mets will be Kameron Loe. The Braves called Loe up on Monday once they transferred Tim Hudson to the 60-day disabled list.

Across three organizations, Loe has a 1-2 record and a 8.15 ERA in 14 games this season. Loe has not started at the major league level since 2007.
