Roy Halladay is back in the major leagues.

The Philadelphia Phillies had planned to have Halladay, 36, make one more rehab start with Double-A Reading on Sunday but opted to call the former Cy Young winner back to the majors after Tyler Cloyd was needed in relief during an 18-inning game on Saturday.

Halladay went six innings in each of his rehab starts and should not be limited to any sort of inning or pitch count in Sunday’s game against Arizona.

In seven starts this season Halldaywas 2-4 with a 8.65 ERA and a 1.46 WHIP. He will be a free agent at the end of the season.
