Atlanta Braves outfielder Jason Heyward will miss the next4-6 weeks with a fractured jaw.
Heyward was hit in the sixth inning by a pitch from New York Mets starter Jonathan Niese.
The news of Heywards injury was first reported by MLB’s Mark Bowman.
It marks the second substantial injury for the Braves in a game against the Mets this year. Pitcher Tim Hudson had his ankle broken when Mets outfielder Eric Young landed on his foot on a play at first base on July 24.

Heyward had missed time earlier in the year after undergoing an appendectomy.
The 24-year-old Heyward was hitting .253 with 13 home runs and 37 RBI on the season.
