Brian Wilson returned to the major leagues earlier this week. In returning the reliever brought back his trade mark beard as he moved into a setup role in the bullpen of the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Tireball Sports has learned that negotiations are underway between Wilson’s representatives (MVP Sports) and 800razors.com that could net the 31-year-old right hander $1 million. Talks took place last week and “both sides are incentivized to forge an agreement”
Imagining Wilson without the beard will be tough but 800Razors.com President Phil Masiello believes if any razor can get though Wilson’s beard it will be his.
“Our new high-performance 5-blade will definitely be up to the task!” said Masiello.
Founded by Steven Krane and Masiello, the brand offers ceramic-coated razors featuring American-made steel blades available through the online store, 800razor.com.
Wilson has yet to appear in a game since being activated but during rehab held opponents scoreless and to just one hit over 4 1/3 minor league innings.
