Travis Blackley will start on Tuesday for the Texas Rangers.

The left-handed Blackley was acquired last week from the Houston Astros for cash considerations.

Texas will start Blackley in the place of Alexi Ogando who is dealing with inflammation in a nerve near his right shoulder.

Blackley appeared in 42 games this season and was 1-1 with a 4.89 ERA and 1.43 WHIP. This will be his first start of the season.
