Mark Reynolds has nice debut with Yankees

Signed earlier in the day, Mark Reynolds delivered at the plate for the Yankees on Friday.

Reynolds, 30, had gone homeless over the final 22 games he spent with the Cleveland Indians. That was all put to the wayside as Reynolds hit a two-run home run in his first at-bat against Boston starter Felix Doubront.

Later in the game Reynolds added an RBI single.

While Reynolds may not hit a home run every night but the Yankees will obviously take what they can get at this point.

Alfonso Soriano, another mid season acquisition, was 3-for-4 with a home run and four RBI in the game.

Even with their heroics the Yankees are currently six games out in the Wild Card race.
