Reed Johnson has landed on the disabled list with Achilles tendinitis.

Johnson, 36, figured to be a bench bat when the season began but found his way into 66 games for the NL East leading Braves.

The Braves have dealt with injuries throughout their outfield this season. Jason Heyward, Evan Gattis, Jordan Schafer, and both B.J. and Justin Upton have dealt with a variety of injuries this season.

Johnson was hitting .263/.328/.368 with a home run and 11 RBI this season. He will be replaced by Todd Cunningham on the active roster.

Cunningham, 24, was hitting .279/.357/.352 with two home runs and 18 stolen bases at Triple-A Gwinnett.
