Anna Benson broke into the apartment of former husband Kris Benson recently but that is hardly her first brush with the law.
In fact Benson was once featured on an episode of America’s Most Wanted.
In 1996, Michael Evans was found dead in the graffiti-covered apartment in Knoxville, Tn. that Benson, Anna Warren at the time, shared with her boyfriend. The murder charge against her was eventually dropped because a lack of evidence.
According to reports, Evans was murdered following an altercation in the apartment in which Anna allegedly told her boyfriend, Paul Dejongh, to “get rid of him.”
Dejongh apparently took the meaning of that statement as instruction to kill.
After two year on the run Anna Warren was caught, her boyfriend would be caught two months later.
Dejongh was eventually convicted of first-degree murder but later had it reduced to second degree murder on an appeal. He would be sentenced to 21years in prison but has since passed away.
