Manny Ramirez may soon face major league pitching. Ramirez, 41, has signed a minor league deal with the Texas Rangers and report to Triple-A Round Rock.

The deal between Ramirez and the Rangers is worth $500,000 and has a clause requiring Ramirez to cut his hair.

Ramirez was batting .352 with 8 homeruns in 49 games with the EDA Rhinos of the Chinese Professional Baseball League.

Last year Ramirez signed a minor league deal with Oakland but failed to make it to the majors after compiling a .302/.348/.349 line at Triple-A Sacramento.
