Brandon Beachy pitched better in his second rehab start. This time Beachy was pitching for Single-A Rome. Beachy tossed five scoreless innings on Wednesday allowing three hits and a walk. Beachy struck out one in the outing.
In Beachy’s first rehab outing with Gwinnett he allowed two hits, including a home run and walked three over four innings of work.
Even though he was credited with a win on Wednesday, expect the Braves to require Beachy to make a few more rehab starts before trying him at the major league level.
