Brandon Beachy made his first rehab start on Friday night. The 26-year-old right hander went four innings for the Triple-A Gwinnett Braves.

Beachy was shaky in the outing allowing two runs on two hits, including a home run. As concerning for Beachy was the three walks he allowed while striking out three. Beachy threw 70 pitches in the outing but only found the strike zone with 35 of them.

The Braves are in no hurry to rush him back to the big leagues and will ask him to make additional minor league starts.

Last season Beachy made 13 starts for the Braves going 5-5 with a 2.00 ERA.
