Cliff Lee tossed a shutout as the Phillies defeated the Marlins 3-0 on Wednesday.Lee allowed just three hits and two walks while striking out five.
Delmon Young hit his fourth home run of the season, and second in as many nights, in the fourth inning to give the Phillies and Lee an early lead. In the sixth inning Dominic Brown would triple driving Young in while Freddy Gavis would provide a single providing the Phillies third run of the night,
It was another relatively smooth day at the office for Lee who now owns a 5-2 record and a 2.48 ERA. Lee has went six or more innings in his last six outings and has went at-least five innings in all ten of his starts this year.
Lee will travel to Boston for his next start.
