Chris Sale scratched from Wednesday start

The Chicago White Sox will skip Chris Sale’s scheduled start on Wednesday. Sale was to face the Boston Red Sox but will be skipped due to mild tendinitis.

Hector Santiago will make the start on Wednesday for the White Sox. Santiago will be pitching on three days rest after lasting only 3 1/3 innings in his start on Saturday.

Sale is expected to be ready for his start next Tuesday. On the season Sale has a 2.53 ERA and a 0.92 WHIP in nine starts.
