Chris Carpenter is preparing himself as if he will be a starting pitcher should he return to the St. Louis Cardinals. Carpenter has not played this year after experiencing nerve irrational prior to the start of Spring Training.
On Wednesday the former Cy Young winner threw roughly 30 pitches after throwing double that on Monday. He will throw again on Saturday.
“It was almost like a pre-game warmup,” said Carpenter to the St. Louis Dispatch.
Carpenter plans to know by May 28th where he is headed on his comeback.
