Left hander Cliff Lee had another strong outing on Saturday as the Philadelphia Phillies defeated the Arizona Diamondbacks 3-1.
Lee tossed seven scoreless innings while scattering six hits while picking up his fourth win of the season for the visiting Phillies. Lee’s ERA dropped to 2.86 after the outing.
Jonathan Papelbon avoided trouble in the ninth to persevere the win for Lee and notch his sixth save of the year
Last season Lee did not pick up his fourth win of the season until September 1 thanks largely to a scuffling offense behind him.
