Jeff Francis moved closer to locking up a rotation spot with the Colorado Rockies with another scoreless performance on Tuesday,
Francis, 32, has threw four scoreless innings allowing just a hit against the Cubs. The left handed Francis has now thrown nine scoreless innings and has not walked a batter in three spring appearances.
Colorado has as many as three rotation spots up for grabs this spring.
Francis made 24 starts with the Rockies last season finishing with a 6-7 record and a 5.58 ERA.
