Braves acquire Upton from Dbacks in seven player deal

The Atlanta Braves have acquired outfielder Justin Upton from the Arizona Diamondbacks. Atlanta and Arizona will exchange seven players.

Arizona will recieve Martin Prado, Randall Delgado, Nick Ahmed, Zeke Spruill and Brandon Drury from the Braves. Atlanta will receive Chris Johnson in addition to Upton.

Upton, 23, compiled a .289/.369/.529 line last season while hitting 31 home runs and stealing 21 bases. He also drove in 88 runs while playing in 159 games.

Upton had been highly sought after this offseason by multiple teams. In Atlanta he will join his brother B.J. who signed earlier this winter.
