The Toronto Blue Jays have signed veteran catcher Henry Blanco to a one-year contract. Blanco, 41, will not be guaranteed to make the team.
Ideally Blanco, 41, will act as organizational depth behind J.P Arencibia, Josh Thole and Mike Nickeas. Last season Blanco hit .188 while playing for the Arizona Diamondbacks.
