Indians sign Brett Myers

Brett Myers and the Cleveland Indians have reached an agreement on a one year deal. The deal also includes a club option reports Jon Heyman.

Myers, 32, had been seeking a deal with a team that would give him a chance to return to the rotation. Last season he pitched for the Astros and White Sox out of the bullpen posting a 3.31 ERA and a 1.22 WHIP in 65 1/3 innings.

The last time Myers was used solely as a starting pitcher was the 2011 season.

Financial terms of the deal have not been announced yet.

Myers should slide in nicely into the Indians rotation. His ability to throw 200 innings should help save some arms in the Indians bullpen.
