Count Albert Pujols among those who were surprised by the Los Angeles Angels’ signing of Josh Hamilton.
“I was shocked, I won’t lie to you,” Pujols told USA Today’s Bob Nightengale.
Hamilton signed a five year deal with the Angels worth $125 million. It was just a year ago that Pujols signed a massive deal for ten-years and $240 million.
“It’s a scary lineup,” Pujols said speaking of an Angels lineup that also features MVP runner-up Mike Trout.
With the addition of Hamilton, the Angels have become the preseason favorite in the AL West.
