Giants sign Andres Torres to one year deal

The San Francisco Giants have signed Andres Torres to a one year deal. Torres will serve as the teams fourth outfielder. The deal is worth $2 million according to the San Jose Mercury News.

Torres, 34, hit just .230 last season while playing for the New York Mets. He played three years for the Giants from 2009-2011.

The best season of Torres career came during the Giants’ 2010 world championship season, compiling a batting line of .258/.343/.479 while hitting 16 home runs and driving in 63 runs. AHe was traded along with reliever Ramon Ramirez to the Mets for Angel Pagan after the 2011 season.
