Andy Pettitte has said that he did not want to hold up the New York Yankees off season plans. The 40-year-old has already began working out this winter. The Yankee will know whether or not Pettitte will pitch in 2013 soon.
Last season Pettitte made 12 starts going 5-4 with a 2.87 ERA. He missed twelve weeks of the season after suffering a fractured left leg before returning in September.
The Yankees currently have CC Sabathia, Hiroki Kuroda, Phil Hughes, Ivan Nova and David Phelps penciled into their rotation.
