Ricky Stenhouse Jr. Wins NRA American Warrior 300 at Atlanta Motor Speedway

Ricky Stenhouse Jr., driver of the N0.6 Cargill Ford Mustang for Roush Fenway Racing won tonight’s American Warrior 300 at Atlanta Motor Speedway in the Nationwide Series.

Stenhouse beat out Kevin Harvick with 4 laps to go on the final restart of the race to win his fourth race of the 2012 season.

Stenhouse credited the late push by Keselowski for him winning the race. He said that Keselowski will be a great Ford team mate next season when Stenhouse moves up to the Cup level.

After the race Harvick had words with Keselowski. Harvick blamed Keselowski for throwing a water bottle to bring out a debris caution on lap 182. NASCAR says that the caution was not thrown for a water bottle. Harvick disagreed with that assessment saying that they throw cautions “when they want to.”

This was the eighth consecutive Nationwide race in a row in which Harvick led the most laps and failed to win.

Elliott Sadler maintains a 12 point lead over Stenhouse in the overall Nationwide standings, Sam Hornish is third followed by Austin Dillon.
