He becomes the latest member of the offense to \u00a0sign a new deal.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGetting a chance to play with that offense and on that line, I am looking forward to building off what we did,\u201d said Garza, via <a href=\"http:\/\/www.chicagotribune.com\/sports\/football\/bears\/chi-bears-garza-deal-20140227,0,2167366.story\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Chicago Tribune<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The soon to be 34-year-old Garza has played in 164 games during his NFL career including the last 57 straight for the Bears.<\/p>\n<p>Under his new deal Garza will receive $1.5 million. He received a total of $6 million over the last two seasons. While Garza&#8217;s new deal is just for one season it does not mean he is thinking about retirement just yet.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m taking it year by year,\u201d he said. \u201cI felt really good this season and this is the best I have felt (in the offseason) in a couple of years. If I keep feeling good and playing well, I\u2019ll want to continue to play.
