The land previously was owned by Wal-Mart but the superstore could not get public approval. Kroenke is a former Wal-Mart board member and husband of Ann Walton Kroenke, daughter of Wal-Mart co-founder Bud Walton.<\/p>\n<p>The Rams are not commenting on the situation. There has not been a football team in L.A. since the Raiders left after the 1994 season.<\/p>\n<p>While there are a lot of hurdles in addition to land, sooner or later a team figure to land in L.A. but that does not mean it will be the Rams.<\/p>\n<p>The Rams are trying to get the Edward Jones Dome upgraded and suggest the renovation costs could be $700 million.
