Browns starter Brandon Weeden suffered a sprained right thumb in the teams Week 2 loss at Baltimore.<\/p>\n<p>Browns head coach Rod Chudzinski declined to name Jason Campbell, who was 1-for-4 for six yards, the teams starter on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>Enter Brian Hoyer who joined the team as the third string quarterback in the offseason.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;When you&#8217;re a quarterback in this league, you never know when your name&#8217;s going to get called,&#8221; said Hoyer, a Cleveland native. &#8220;So I study the same amount of film, I go out and practice, and even if I&#8217;m not taking the reps, I&#8217;m taking a mental rep every play, and that&#8217;s the way I approach this job.&#8221; told <a href=\"http:\/\/espn.go.com\/nfl\/story\/_\/id\/9688059\/cleveland-browns-start-brian-hoyer-qb-minnesota-vikings\" target=\"_blank\">ESPN<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Hoyer, a Cleveland native, started one game for the Arizona Cardinals last season.
