Major League Baseball continues to make offers to Alex Rodriguez.<\/p>\n

Rodriguez has been playing baseball for the New York Yankees as he appeals a 211 game ban. Now baseball has offered the third baseman a reduced 150 game suspension if he drops his appeal.<\/p>\n

USA Today’s Bob Nightengale reported from a person close to Rodriguez that MLB offered him a 100 game ban prior to leveling the 211 game ban. The league has denied this report.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have not offered 100 games, and no offer is on the table,\u201d MLB vice president Rob Manfred told USA Today<\/a> in an email. \u201cEvery player involved in Biogenesis except Alex Rodriguez accepted their discipline. We have detailed information regarding his use of PEDs, which was longer and more pervasive than other players, and about his efforts to obstruct our investigation.\u201d<\/div>\n
Rodriguez’s lawyer maintains that the slugger wants his day in court.<\/div>\n
