Greg Jennings has issued an apology to Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers. Jennings has come across bitter towards Rodgers and the Packers since signing a contract with the Minnesota Vikings.<\/p>\n

Jennings is now giving some praise to his former teammate.<\/p>\n

\u201cAaron\u2019s a phenomenal quarterback,\u201d Jennings told Mark Craig of the Star-Tribune<\/a>. \u201cHe knows that. No one needs to tell\u00a0him that. What he\u2019s done over the course of the last five years? Phenomenal. He set the bar high for quarterbacks in this league. He set the bar high\u00a0for offenses in this league. Everything I say\u00a0is all out of fun. I\u2019m just saying something\u00a0just to say it. They know that\u2019s not\u00a0me.\u201d<\/p>\n

The decision to stop talking about his former team came at the request of Vikings coach Leslie Frazier.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was on the field and [Frazier] ran over to me and asked me what I said,\u201d Jennings explained. \u201cThat was really the gist of it. He said, `Keep it about our guys.\u2019 Literally, that was it. I don\u2019t really recall saying anything negative about Aaron or anyone over there, but, hey, I apologize.\u201d<\/p>\n

Even if he has not told Rodgers personally.<\/p>\n

\u201cNo. For what?\u201d Jennings asked. \u201cI\u2019m apologizing right now. If it got to him with [the media] right now, I feel if I apologize right here, he\u2019ll hear that, too. Will you make sure he hears that?\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
