The star kick returner plans to continue his playing career for another two or three years. Hester, 30, has been a member of the Chicago Bears for the last seven seasons.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I&#8217;m going to try to get two or three more years in,&#8221; Hester said. &#8220;I think I have that much left in me. At the same time, I think I do need a fresh start.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Only Hester knows what his view of a fresh start is. He was upset when he found out that Lovie Smith had been fired as the Bears head coach.<\/p>\n<p>Hester said that he could ask to be traded and told reporters that he no longer wants to play offense.<\/p>\n<p>Set to make nearly $3 million in the final year of his contract there is a chance Hester could be cut.<\/p>\n<p>Hester has never thrived as a wide receiver, he has not caught more then 40 passes since 2009. Known for his return ability, Hester failed to return a kickoff or a punt for a touchdown last season.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Devin Hester will not retire.
