(Photo by Brian Bahr\/Getty Images)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>While the Oakland Raiders continue to explore stadium options going forward the team will play one of it&#8217;s home\u00a0games for the 2016 season in Mexico City.<\/p>\n<p>The Raiders regular season game against the Houston Texans will now be played in Mexico City.<\/p>\n<p>While such a move further highlights the Raiders stadium problems, benefiting from this will also be the Texans who have been trying to find a way to appear in front of their large Mexico fan base while not losing home games at NRG Stadium in Houston.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We&#8217;ve always expressed that we have an interest in participating internationally as a road team (and), we&#8217;ve made it clear that we were most interested in doing that in Mexico,&#8221; team president Jamey Rootes via the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.chron.com\/sports\/texans\/article\/Texans-expected-to-play-game-in-Mexico-next-season-6806549.php?cmpid=twitter-desktop\" target=\"_blank\">Houston Chronicle<\/a>. &#8220;It&#8217;s an amazing opportunity for teams and the league.<\/p>\n<p>This will mark the NFL&#8217;s first game in Mexico since a 2005 game between the Arizona Cardinals and San Francisco 49ers which saw\u00a0103,467 fans turn out.
