Robert Griffin III continues to regress as a quarterback. Now he may end up getting his coach fired.<\/p>\n

Griffin has been a hot button issue in Washington for two years now. Last year Mike Shanahan convinced ownership to bench the former No. 2 overall pick and was then let go by the Redskins at the end of the season.<\/p>\n

This offseason the Redskins added Jay Gruden and after just half a season he came to the same conclusion that benching Griffin was the best idea for winning games.<\/p>\n

Now he too may be leaving after just one season.<\/p>\n

The Washington Post<\/a> reports the following on the situation in Washington:<\/p>\n

Although it\u2019s unknown whether Snyder and Allen eventually will agree to trade Griffin, what has become clear from recent conversations with Redskins officials is that Gruden believes he needs a clean break from Griffin to focus on fixing Washington\u2019s 3-9 mess. And if Snyder and Allen commit to Griffin as the starter in 2015, Gruden could be \u201cone and done,\u201d a team official said, alluding to Gruden possibly being fired despite four years remaining on his guaranteed five-year contract.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
