\nThere seems to be no firm timetable for the return of Robert Grifffin III to the field but it is possible that the Redskins could bring him back in time for an Oct. 27 game against the Cowboys.<\/p>\n

Griffin has been out since being injured in the first quarter of the Redskins Sept. 14 game against the Jaguars.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think he\u2019s going to start individual drills this week,\u201d said coach Jay Gruden via CSN Washington<\/a>. \u201cAs far as actually taking practice reps I think that will be at least another week. We\u2019ll get him out there, do some individual drills, throw some balls to balls to the wideouts. That will be the first step. Then next week we\u2019ll try to get him maybe in some practice situations and see where he is.\u201d<\/p>\n

Griffin has began individual drills and the Redskins are hoping to get him a full week of practice before he returns to the field.<\/p>\n

Gone is any concern that Griffin would be simply a backup upon his return. The fans and commentators in Washington are already calling for former Browns starter Colt McCoy to get under center until Griffin returns.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
