After earning the starting quarterback job in the preseason the now 29-year-old is enjoying his first taste of success as an NFL starer.<\/p>\n<p>Still the Browns have an upcoming problem on their hands. They drafted Johnny Manziel and his salary could push Hoyer out of Cleveland. Set to become a free agent at the end of the season the Browns and Hoyer have not really had contract talks, possibility because neither team side is sure where to start.<\/p>\n<p>Do the Browns pay up for Hoyer? Does Hoyer believe he will remain the starter in Cleveland?<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t think I need to say more than I\u2019m from Cleveland and this is where I want to be, but I also am a competitor, so I want to be somewhere where I\u2019m playing,\u201d Hoyer said via <a href=\"http:\/\/espncleveland.com\/common\/more.php?m=49&#038;post_id=38251\">ESPN Cleveland<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>On the season Hoyer has completed 60.4-percent of his passes for 1,224 yards to go with seven touchdowns and an interception for a 99.5 quarterback rating.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Brian Hoyer is having a surprising season.
